If you’re more into arts and culture, we can recommend a trip to the Hale Centre Theatre or the Gilbert Historical Museum. The Silver Star Theater is also a great venue, particularly for music concerts, and while it is technically located in Mesa, it’s still in easy reach of Gilbert. Of course, St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church and the Gilbert Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are also well worth a look. Stargazers can head to the Gilbert Rotary Centennial Observatory.
There are multiple sightseeing tours around the area for newcomers and visitors to help them get acquainted, and Freestone District Park is one of the best options if you’re looking for some outdoor enjoyment. Speaking of getting to know the city, you can enjoy a tour of downtown Gilbert with access to shopping, dining, historical sites and more. Don’t forget to visit the Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch to see some of the area’s wildlife.
Looking to whet your whistle? There’s a brewery right in town – 12 West Brewing Company serves up delightful local brews. Of course, there are plenty of bars and other watering holes scattered across the city if you’re in the mood for something else. You’ll also discover a wealth of eateries which has led to the city being dubbed one of the top five foodie destinations in the wider Phoenix area.
