Grab a soccer ball and play with the kids or join a game that’s already in progress. On Friday nights during the growing season, you can even enjoy a farmers market here. From the pond to the aviary, there are tons of things to enjoy here.
For those looking for something a bit more history-oriented, then we recommend a visit to the Natural History Museum of Utah, although you’ll need to make the trip up to SLC. Here, you can get up close and personal with all types of natural history-related artifacts, from skeletons of prehistoric animals that once ranged these hills to fossils and more.
While you’re in Salt Lake City, why not head to the downtown farmers market? Here, you’ll find locally grown produce, baked goods, meats, and a great deal more. It’s like a county fair combined with the best grocery store produce section you’ve ever seen, and is fun for all ages.
Want to get in some fun with the kids? If so, a quick drive to South Salt Lake City from Millcreek will get you to the Wairhouse Trampoline Park, where you can bounce and jump to your heart’s content.
For more outdoor enjoyment, we recommend heading out to Millcreek Canyon on the far eastern edge of town. Here, you will find a wealth of hiking opportunities during the warmer months of the year. Make sure to pack food and water, though, and be prepared for some rugged country. During the winter months, there is even more to enjoy. Make sure to bring the dog – you can let them off the leash and let them explore the hiking trails on odd-numbered days, which is something you will not find in many more places.
Looking to grab a bite to eat? We recommend Antica Sicilia for those looking for some authentic Italian food. Rawtopia is a great place for those following a raw food diet, but the Cochinha House is the place to go for carnivores who love Brazilian fare. Finally, Stella Grill is a great place for some all-American food and a cold beer or two.
Don’t forget that there are tons of other things to experience nearby. From Park City to Salt Lake City, you’ll find something that you love, whether that’s wintertime skiing or drinking at the Brewvies Cinema Pub.
