Perhaps the first attraction of note here is Zion National Park. This stunning park offers the chance to explore incredible natural beauty – the sandstone formations are incomparable. There’s more on offer than just picture-taking, though. Go for a hike, or a bike ride. Kayak or canoe down the waterways. Get the tent or RV and camp out. It’s an incredible destination that must be experienced to really be appreciated.
You should also make time to explore the Red Hills Desert Garden, as well as Pioneer Park to really get the full feel of the natural beauty surrounding St. George. Outside fun not really your thing? No worries. There are plenty of other options.
Even if you’re not religious yourself, you should explore the St. George Temple – it is one of the most striking architectural achievements in the area. If you just want to have some fun with the kids, head to the Town Square Park and have a picnic, or play in the fountain. The Brigham Young Winter Home Historical Site is a great place to learn more about the history of the area and the LDS church.
Of course, there is also Thunder Junction All Abilities Park, designed to ensure that everyone can find something fun to do regardless of their abilities. Or, you can take the family to the St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site at the Johnson Farm to see where some of the most iconic fossils discovered in North America were unearthed.

If you’re after something different, make time to explore Mugwumps Antique Shop, but save some energy to explore the Outlets at Zion for discount brand-name merchandise. Red Cliffs Mall gives you access to recognizable anchor stores and boutiques, and The Old Bodega in Santa Clara is an interesting place to go for unique home décor options.
